#1 Hearing God's Voice in the Workplace.

Updated: Dec 28, 2021

Please share how to identify God's voice when choosing a job?

He is omniscient and omnipotent which is to say that He knows all your needs and provides for your current and future need through a job. Also, if you end up being in an unsatisfying work situation, God can use your bad experience for your ultimate good.

Welcome to my blog post entitled "Unveiling the Zeitgeist". This 10 part series reveals the secrete of “Hearing God’s Voice in the Workplace”. People spend an average of 90,000 hours (or a third) of their life working. Given that we sleep an average of 229,961 hours during our lifetime, the workplace takes a significant part of our life. In a modern, fast-paced, time-consuming, and technologically driven lifestyle, does God still speaks to His people, or has He become irrelevant and silent? The answer is that God always speaks! Matter of fact, God has never stopped speaking to His people since the foundation of the world has formed. Hearing God’s voice is not only enriching and meaningful to steer our life, but it is also an overlooked and unexplored secret accessible to everyone. So, let’s explore together!

#1 Please share how to identify God's voice when choosing a job?

A career or job can be viewed from two spiritual angles.

  1. God’s providence: Is the job a mean for God to provide into your life?

  2. God's purpose and calling: Is the career (job) the purpose over your life according to Ephesians 1:11.

Can God speak in the workplace? God always speaks regardless of which setting. Whether it is in a professional work environment or a church setting. The trick is to recognize His voice and discern His will. Personal example: Trade in JPN small-cap stocks during UBS years.

How do we recognize God’s voice?

God always confirms our prayers. He never goes against His spoken or written word (Logos)

a) God’s centric decisions come with peace in the choices a believer makes.

b) Often by trusting God and waiting on His timing results that God ends up provision for the believer.

c) God knows us so much better and about our needs than we do ourselves (Matthew 6:25-34).

He is omniscient and omnipotent which is to say that He knows all your needs and provides for your current and future needs through a job. Also, if you end up being in an unsatisfying work situation, God can use your bad experience for your ultimate good.

Timing and Assignment: Often landing a job may be part of an assignment for you to be there for a purpose. A prayerful approach and waiting for the Holy Spirit to point out whom you are to befriend in order to pray (or minister) may be part of the assignment.

Let's pray! Father, bless the work of our hand. Work is important to you. Hearing your voice is not just some magic wand but doing your will here in this life. Help us usher your presence of peace and wisdom into the workplace so we find favor with people but also bring solutions combined with passion, humility, and servitude. We excel each day but we trust you with the outcome! In Jesus Name I pray, Amen!

Why Unveiling the Zeitgeist?

Aaron_104469.jpg

Many years ago, I had a vivid dream where God spoke these words to me “Awaken My Remnant”. Since then, I waited patiently to do just that. Not knowing whom to awaken, I waited on God’s next instructions. Then I wrote my first book, “Pursued By The Maker” which was published by Highbridge Publication and sold worldwide. To this day, I pray for the remnant and their awakening, and I continue to write and share my thoughts in a blog post series entitled "Unveiling the Zeitgeist".
