Ten hard Questions by a Sceptic. #2
Updated: Sep 4, 2021
Welcome to my blog post entitled "Unveiling the Zeitgeist". Recently, I had the privilege to answer 10 questions from a friend about the nature of God and spirituality in general. I am sharing the ten-part Q&A with my friend's permission. I have titled this very first series "Ten hard questions by a Sceptic". I hope that this blog post series helps all the skeptics out there that wrestle with the existence of God in their minds and in their hearts. Friends, It's time to leave the fence!

The purpose for our lives is to enjoy God the most, as God is glorified the most when we enjoy him forever.”
#2. As humans, it's in our nature to want to believe in something that gives us comfort. That there's a greater being out there who protects us and watches over us. It makes us feel good. It gives us a sense of purpose.
Yes, if all humans were created in the image of God, then there is a void in us that longs to be filled. The problem is that in their quest for an answer they have looked into all types of directions and spirituality except to God, but it is only Him who can fill the eternal void because He knows us too well. Like a potter knows its clay, a shepherd knows his flock, the creator knows His creation. We were born with longing or hunger for spiritual connectivity to the source! All tongues and groups of people have the same void that they look for answers to. So, whether you are a yogi or an American native Indian, we have the inept spiritual desire to fill the void. The manifestation varies from culture to culture but the imprint was left by the creator, the God-I am. “God gives us the purpose for our lives and society. Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever, according to Westminster Shorter Catechism at Question 1 (“What is the chief end of man”). The purpose for our lives is to enjoy God the most, as God is glorified the most when we enjoy him forever.”
